At Ghosty's Tarantulas, the health and safe arrival of every animal is our top priority. We stand behind every shipment with our Live Arrival Guarantee.
Our Promise
We guarantee that all tarantulas and invertebrates will arrive alive and in good health under the following conditions. If your animal arrives deceased or in critical condition due to shipping, we will work with you to make it right.
Guarantee Conditions
To qualify for our Live Arrival Guarantee, the following conditions must be met:
- Weather Hold Policy: We reserve the right to delay shipment if temperatures at either the origin or destination are outside the safe range of 40°F–95°F (4°C–35°C). We will contact you before holding your order.
- Shipping Speed: All live animals must be shipped via FedEx or UPS Overnight (Priority Overnight). We do not guarantee live arrival on 2-day or ground shipments.
- Adult Signature Required: Someone must be available to receive the package on the first delivery attempt. We cannot guarantee live arrival if the package is held at a facility or re-delivered the following day.
- Inspect Upon Arrival: You must open and inspect your package within 2 hours of delivery. Claims submitted after this window may not be honored.
- Do Not Refuse Shipment: Refusing a shipment voids the live arrival guarantee. If you have concerns, accept the package and contact us immediately.
How to File a Claim
If your animal arrives deceased or in critical condition, please follow these steps:
- Take clear photos or a short video of the animal inside the unopened or just-opened packaging.
- Email us at Ghostystarantulas@gmail.com within 2 hours of delivery with your order number and documentation.
- Our team will review your claim and respond within 1 business day.
Approved claims will be resolved with a replacement animal (subject to availability) or store credit. Refunds are issued at our discretion.
What Is Not Covered
- Animals that escape or are injured after the package is opened
- Deaths caused by improper care after delivery
- Shipments delayed by the carrier due to weather or other events outside our control (we will do our best to work with you in these cases)
- Orders shipped to locations with extreme temperatures where a weather hold was recommended but declined by the customer
- International shipments (we currently ship within the contiguous US only)
